Gestamp announces the construction of its first plant in Japan

Gestamp, a Spanish multinational company specialized in the design, development and manufacture of parts for the automotive industry, has announced the upcoming construction of its first plant in Japan, in a ceremony held in the city of Matsusaka which was attended by the Governor of Mie Prefecture, Eikei Suzuki; the mayor of Matsusaka, Masato Takegami; the CEO of Mitsui, Tatsuo Yosunaga and the Chairman of Gestamp, Francisco J. Riberas.

Siemens technology enables Gestamp to cut energy consumption at its plants by 15 percent

Thanks to a cloud-based efficient energy management platform that uses big data to optimise consumption, Siemens has enabled Gestamp, a multinational company in metal autoparts manufacturing, to reduce energy consumption by up to 15 percent at 14 of its plants. The Spanish company specialises in designing, developing and manufacturing metal autoparts to make lighter and safer cars, and has chosen Siemens as global supplier to implement this system and thus manage to optimise its energy needs in an industry that is increasing its energy consumption.

Gestamp launches its first hot stamping plant in India

Gestamp, a Spanish multinational company specialised in the design, development and manufacture of metal components for the automotive industry, has launched a new plant specialised in hot stamping in Pune (India). The company has invested €36 million in the new facility that will provide services for Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA), Ford and Tata.

Gestamp will open a new specialist aluminum plant in Slovakia

Gestamp, a Spanish multinational that designs, develops and manufactures metal parts and assemblies for the automotive industry, will open a new plant specializing in aluminum in Nitra (Slovakia). The company is investing 133 million euros into the new opening which will provide service to automotive plants, including the Jaguar Land Rover plant to be launched in the country.

Gestamp increases its EBITDA by 10.2% in Q3 with regards to the previous year

Gestamp, the Spanish multinational company engaged in the design, development and manufacture of metallic components for the automobile sector, has announced its income as at Q3 2016, where gross operating profit (EBIDTA) increased by 10.2%, standing at EUR 177.6 million.
